Demo v2.10a Updated 10 May 2020
Big update with major changes to gameplay and strategy! I worked hard to respond to all the feedback received so far and improve the fun as much as possible.
Portals are now earned through the generation of Chaos, displayed on a Chaos Meter. When enough stuff dies new portals spawn automatically. Along with this, 90% of portals findable through exploration have been removed.
Demons now recover fatigue whenever out of combat instead of player being forced to stop and let them all nap. Napping still exists as an optional mechanic for faster fatigue recovery
To replace the inherent instability that came with larger demon armies when napping was required, demons are now racist! Each demon type has one other type it's incompatible with, so your chance of getting a fight on your hands instead of a new demon goes up as army size increases. This mechanic is planned on getting expanded to make demons get on each others nerves and have one-off rage fights in the future, which should also be more likely with larger demon army
Stealth mechanics updated so that the keep no longer goes from fully passive to fully alert. Now the narrator will coach you as each new demon witness is received by the keep, indicating what it will probably start doing too.
Bug people now realize player is the demon summoner if they see you summon a demon or if they see you feed one. If this information reaches the keep you can expect to get attacked whenever demons aren't nearby to protect you
...and demo difficulty significantly increased by giving both keeps a retinue of defender guards to assist the Chairman >:D
